If you're ready to take a more active role in advocacy, partnering with local nonprofits and community organizations focused on equity, inclusion, and improving public schools can strengthen your efforts.Steps to Build a Stronger Support Network:

Look for organizations focused on disability rights, special education, or equitable access to education.

Partner with groups working on similar issues, such as improving school policies and supporting children with autism.

Attend community events, workshops, and meetings to build relationships and stay informed. If you can’t find any local events, don’t hesitate to organize one yourself! You can host informational sessions, town halls, or workshops to bring parents together. Work with other groups to organize school board meetings, petitions, and awareness campaigns. Utilize legal support, educational training, and emotional support from local organizations.

By teaming up with like-minded groups or organizing your own efforts, you can expand your reach and strengthen your advocacy, ensuring every child has the support they need to succeed in school.
